Psychologist

Age group - Adults

Days - Monday, Tuesday

My interest in psychology was born out of a natural curiosity to understand the human experience, the shared struggles and life pain that we move through, and the pure resiliency that emerges during these moments. Witnessing the change and growth that can occur during the therapy process is something that continues to inspire the work I do.

My role as a therapist has been both rewarding and fulfilling. I have had the pleasure of supporting individuals on their journey towards wellness across different sectors including not-for-profit and private practice. I bring experience in counselling, psychological intervention, group therapy facilitation as well as specialist drug and alcohol support.

I enjoy doing deeper introspective work with people; helping them break long term patterns and move towards what matters most to create meaningful change. I also enjoy the process of helping people uncover their strengths and cultivate a strong understanding of themselves. You can expect creativity, openness and warmth in our sessions. I am passionate about creating a safe and trustworthy space for people to explore their experiences.

At the Psychology Spot, I tailor sessions to each person, working collaboratively in a compassionate and empathetic way using a range of therapeutic modalities:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Schema Therapy

  • Mindfulness-based therapies

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

My main areas of work include people presenting with anxiety, depression, stress, emotion regulation, grief, trauma, addiction, existential exploration, life coaching and interpersonal difficulty.
