What I love most about working as a psychologist is witnessing people connect to their potential, and create meaning and fulfillment in healthy ways. I am influenced by humanistic and strengths-based therapies, which encourage a collaborative process tailored to each person’s unique needs. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship allows people to share their story and experiences in a way that leads to long standing change.
I welcome diversity and work with people from all walks of life. I have a particular interest in working with members of the queer or LGBTQIA+ community, both for concerns related to queer identity and exploration, and in relation to any other psychological matters.
I work with young people from a strengths-based perspective, using different activities to develop skills and learn new ideas, making the therapeutic experience enjoyable and engaging. I communicate regularly with parents and carers to ensure the focus of therapy is relevant and develops the young person's wellbeing holistically; across home, school, socially and individually.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and eclectic, using an integrative approach according to individual preferences and needs. I have experience across a range of therapies and predominantly draw on the following:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Schema Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Attachment-based therapies
Mindfulness-based therapies
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
I’m also familiar with the worker’s compensation insurance scheme and am a SIRA accredited psychologist. I welcome referrals for both psychological and physical injuries.
I completed registration as a psychologist in my home state at the University of Tasmania before moving to New South Wales in recent years. In 2024, I am also completing a clinical master’s degree to extend my studies and learning.
